Our many years of successful publishing have equipped us to offer Christian authors unique opportunities in customized publishing. Major publishing houses are increasingly selective about works from new or unknown authors, so getting a book—even a good book—published is usually quite difficult, if not impossible. That is why we offer co-publishing as an alternative.

 

 

We use the term co-publishing to describe a hybrid between conventional royalty publishing and self-publishing, utilizing the best of both worlds. In co-publishing, we work with the author to develop a book of exceptional quality, suitable for the book-selling marketplace. We also provide the marketing muscle needed to give the book a chance to succeed. The co-published book becomes a Strang product, bears our imprint, and becomes part of our publishing legacy. This is made possible by the author’s willingness to purchase a significant quantity of books from the first press run. The author’s copies are purchased at a deep discount, with payment made in two installments: one-half upon signing of an agreement and one-half prior to printing. The author then sells his/her copies and keeps all the profits, realizing a significant return on the initial investment. We, in turn, print the book for our inventory, market and distribute it through our sales channels, and pay the author royalties on all copies we sell. Thus, co-publishing is a win/win partnership. And that is why more and more Christian authors are choosing to co-publish with Creation House.
