Tim Hoekstra is a leader at Suburban Life Community Church, which he planted more than twenty years ago, and coordinator of the Steps Foundation, a running, walking and mentoring program for kids and adults in under-resourced communities. He also served as the associate director of church relations for World Vision Chicago. He is passionate about uniting ethnically diverse groups and serving the impoverished and marginalized. Tim and Laura, his wife of twenty-nine years, live in River Forest, Illinios, and have three children. They are expecting their first grandchild.
Tyrone Holcomb, is one of the co-pastors of The Cathedral of Central Texas (Christian House of Prayer), with congregations in Copperas Cove and Killeen, Texas. The author of four previous books on marriage, he and his wife, Andrea, have four children.
Stu Johnson retired from the Air Force as a Colonel in 1999. During his thirty years of commissioned service, he led organizations of five to six thousand people and managed multimillion-dollar budgets. Stu also has forty years of Christian leadership experience, and currently serves as the Executive Administrator for Grace International Churches and Ministries, Inc. He and his wife, Debbe, have been married for forty-three years, and have two grown children and three delightful grandchildren.
Dr. Sandy Kirk earned her undergraduate degree in English, M.S. in Secondary Education, Master of Arts in Theology, and a Ph.D. in Theology of Missions from Fuller Theological Seminary in Pasadena, California. She is a professor of theology, and has been preaching and teaching in Bible schools, conferences and churches for twenty years. She has written eight books, one of which is just going into its third printing.
